Are you allergic to reading books?
When you pick up a book, do you start at the beginning and read right to the end? Or do you start at the back and work your way to the front? Maybe like me you sometimes open a book at random and start reading in the middle to find out if it's interesting first? I confess that the idea of reading a really long book from cover to cover usually makes my heart sink.
Recently I've found two really good books that are actually arranged for people like me who are allergic to reading books from front to back, and who like a book to be short and sweet. Both these books are about harnessing the power of the mind.
Mind Gym is full of great ideas to work the mind's muscles and avoid our minds going into our 'autopilot' mental habits. Mind Gym has so many brilliant and fun ideas I often go back and dive in for some more inspiration for myself, my coaching clients, or to use in group workshops.
The Naked Leader by David Taylor takes you on an amazing journey of adventure and discovery to a world of unlimited opportunity. The Naked Leader is a powerhouse of inspiration - and your passport to a world of infinite possibilities. I love the way David Taylor explains that 'we automatically move in the direction of our most dominant thoughts', and shows how to start choosing where we want to go. The book is organised into 51 short chapters that you can choose to read from start to finish, or take one of seven different routes through the material. And of course you can make it even more fun by browsing at random to dig out all the nuggets.
